MC4 connectors are the standard in photovoltaic systems for wiring between modules and inverters. The connectors are designed to establish a reliable electrical connection and not to accidentally detach.
However, this very property becomes an obstacle when routing cables through the roof: conventional roof penetrations often have openings that are too small to allow the MC4 connector to pass through. The MC4 connectors must be disassembled before penetration and reassembled afterwards — which costs time and entails warranty risks.

The NEXCAPE® PV Cable Roof Penetration was specifically developed for this problem. The design allows PV cables with assembled MC4 connectors to be routed through the roof level — without disassembling the connectors.
The principle is simple: the penetration is hooked directly into the roof tile and offers sufficient space for PV cables (approx. Ø 7.5 mm) and grounding cables (up to Ø 16 mm) including the MC4 connectors.
