Which PV Roof Penetration Do I Need? — Sizes & Variants Compared
The Dachdurchführung24 cable penetration is available in three lengths and several string variants. This overview helps specialist companies select the right variant for their PV system in under a minute. All versions are made of UV-resistant TPU and serve as mechanical abrasion protection for cables at the roof penetration — Made in Germany.
Step 1: Number of PV Strings
- 2 PV — for smaller systems or a double string
- 4 PV — for larger systems with more cables to be routed
Each variant is optionally available with an earthing passage ("+ PE") if an additional earthing/potential equalization cable is routed.
Step 2: Choose Length (105 / 125 / 150 mm)
The length depends on the roof structure — the higher the counter-battening, furring, or insulation thickness at the penetration point, the more leeway a longer version offers. If in doubt, our free sample package helps with on-site comparison.
